Bitra is one of the most beautiful islands in the Lakshadweep group having a population of 264 only. A primary school is being run for 34 students where students pursue education in classes I to IV

Educational facilities up to class XII are available in Lakshadweep. For all other higher courses students are sent to the mainland colleges.
