The Battalion-borne personnel are required to undergo, besides basic training, attachment training for six months with BSF, two months with CRPF and one month with Indian Army as per the guidelines of Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR &D). So far 620 have completed BSF attachment training, 533 CRPF attachment training and entire Battalion are yet to undergo Army Attachment training.
As stated above the strength has been deployed in the three UTs equally. They are assisting the Local Police/ Civil Administration of these three UTs in maintaining Law & Order and other Security related duties.
There are 1- Dy. Commandant, 2- Assistant Commandants, 1- Medical Officer, 1- Inspector (Exe), 01- Inspector (Wireless), 3- ASI (Exe), 1- Pharmacists, 22-Head Constables and 3-Head Constable ( Wireless) in the strength of Battalion who are on deputation from other CPMFs/ Police Organizations. Inspite of vide publicity about the vacancy position in the Battalion the response for deputation has been very dim. As on date 2 post of Dy. Commandant, 5 post of Asst. Commandants, 6 post of Inspector (Exe), 15 post of ASI (Exe), 114 post of Head Constable (Exe), 01 post of Head Constable (Wireless), 01 post of Pharmacist, 01 post of Nursing Assistant remain vacant due to lack of deputation hands.
